Embattled Uganda’s presidential aspirant Robert Kyagulanyi famously known as Bobi Wine is now calling on well-wishers to intervene and save his family from hunger pangs.
Wine, through social media, announced they have been under house arrest for four days.
“We have run out of food supplies and when my wife tried to pick food from the garden yesterday, she was blocked and assaulted by the soldiers staged in our compound.”
Security forces in Uganda said they did so to protect Bobi Wine because he is a presidential candidate.
Yoweri Museveni has been re-elected for a sixth term in a vote Bobi Wine termed as rigged, calling on the country to dismiss the results.
