Two things best known about Kenya is corruption and human rights abuses. no write-up on Kenya’s history can be complete without a narrative of those two topics.
On 28th July 2017, former Information and Communication Technology Manager at The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chris Msando was brutally murdered ahead of elections.
Three years down the line, his death remains unresolved. The slain ICT manager was last captured driving his car towards the estate before someone else drove it out and eventually to Thika Road, where it was finally discovered two days later.
Police said his body and that of an unidentified female were found in Kikuyu, Kiambu County, and taken to City Mortuary where a post-mortem would be conducted later.
He died from strangulation and he also had incisions on his right arm, but the rest of the body was intact.” Chief government pathologist Johansen Oduor said.
What is more suspicious is that the person behind his gruesome murder has never been brought to book.
