The number of Covid19 cases in the country has risen to 296 after eleven more people tested positive for the disease. This is after 545 samples were tested ,11 are Kenyans while four are foreigners.
Health Dr CAS Mercy Mwangangi on Tuesday during the daily Covid19 update from Afya House announced that 5 more people have recovered from the disease raiding the total number of recoveries to 74.
“The patients who’ve tested positive are between the ages of 19-75 years of age. 6 were from quarantine centers and 9 were picked up from different locations” Said Dr Mwangangi
Dr Mwangangi urged supermarkets and banks to design creative ways to reduce contact within their spaces.
The Health CAS has again urged Kenyans to adhere to Curfew rules as set by the government to combat the spread of Coronavirus in the country.
Kenya leads the East Africa region with Covid19 cases followed by Tanzania and Rwanda. All the countries except Tanzania have announced measures i.e. lock-downs and Curfew to control movement in a bid to combat the spread of the deadly virus.
