The world health organization (WHO) has released the latest statistics showing how Covid19 has affected the African Continent.
In its figures of Thursday, WHO reported South Africa, Algeria, Cameroon, Djibouti, Morocco, Egypt and Ghana as countries that have recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases.
Algeria corona related deaths stand at 402, followed by Egypt at 264, Morocco with 149 deaths and South Africa with 65 cases.
Africa’s total Covid19 cases stand at 25,320 with 1,225 deaths being reported.
This comes after the world Health Organization announced that COVID-19 crisis will not end any time soon, WHO chief Tedros said several countries are only in the initial stages of fighting the virus.
Kenya has reported 303 cases with only fourteen deaths. The government in its latest move to combat the spread of corona ceased movement in and out of Mandera County. The Northern Frontier County now becomes the 5th in Kenya to be on enforced restrictions of movement.
