Taita Taveta Ward representatives have made their threat real by impeaching Governor Granton Samboja.

The MCA’s have accused the governor for gross misconduct among other issues.

Before his impeachment, Mr Samboja and the MCAs were involved in a prolonged clamor that saw the county fail to adopt the 2019-20 budget.

Taita Taveta county assembly majority Leader Jason Tuja had once vowed to table an impeachment motion if the governor failed to ‘style up’

On his side, Samboja asserted his administration will seek a dissolution of the assembly. Deputy president William Ruto who seemed to be siding with the MCAs implied  the president  will not dissolve the county assembly over what he termed as petty issues that could be resolved amicably.
